As you all know by now, I am a frantic cardslinger and I love connecting creativity and cartomancy in my tarot books. However, it isn’t often that I come across someone who combines the two as well, and in such a brilliant way.
I recently started following Kristen from Over the Moon Academy on Instagram and when I saw her pictures of her new Mystic*Maker*Muse Question Cards for Creatives, I knew I had to get her onto this blog.
Kristen is a divination junkie, cartomancy instructor, and oracle + tarot deck creatrix. She has a passion for helping people see the symbolic patterns in their lives and using them for problem solving and self-discovery.
You can find her on Instagram and enrol in one of her Over The Moon Academy classes here.
Mystic*Maker*Muse Question Cards for Creatives
Hi, Kristen! Please tell us more about your new deck!
Mystic*Maker*Muse Question Cards for Creatives is a deck of 120 cards featuring questions to prompt insight into the lives of creatives, their creative process, challenges, and goals. It’s a free printable offered through my Ko-fi page and you can find it here.
How is the Mystic*Maker*Muse Question Cards for Creatives deck different from everything else out there?
As a diviner, my intention is to use the cards as divination prompts but, of course, they can just be used for journaling too.
Why did you create the Mystic*Maker*Muse Question Cards for Creatives deck?
I get questions about what inspires me or how I create so much stuff. Creativity is a muscle. Once you begin exercising it regularly, you’ll be more consistently creative. Over the years, I’ve also learned a lot about my creative expression. I’ve examined it from many angles and know my creative patterns…why I create…the steps in my process…how much sacral energy I need…my most creative environments…the best time of day to do specific tasks…my most productive moon phase…how to use my chakras to support my creativity.
I think everyone needs to do the same level of examination if they’re serious about being a creatrix. It’s a self-discovery process. Once you know who you are and how you do what you do, you’ll be able to follow your natural creative flow. These question cards guide you to this level of introspection.
Who will benefit from the Mystic*Maker*Muse Question Cards for Creatives deck?
I made the deck especially for the creatrix who might be struggling to bring their creativity to the forefront. It’s also a tool that can help reinforce a consistent creative practice.
What is the best creative advice you can give?
If you want to be more creative, let go of shoulds and tap into your inner child through play.
