Ursula Visser was born in Spring, in the most eastern part of the Netherlands, and she still lives there with her partner. She always had a vivid fantasy, from a young age on. She adores dragons, mystic creatures, and the magic realms of fantasy books. However, sci-fi books give her an interesting look into the future, and sometimes she wishes to be able to time travel, just to see what will happen in the future or live a day in the past centuries.

Writing is her passion. Her books are available in Dutch and English.Read More →

Author interview – Stefan Calin

Hi Stefan, thank you so much for your time! Tell us, when did you start writing, and why?

I started writing at a young age, probably around nine or ten years old. Back then, I felt I had so much to say and my first contacts with serious literature were so inspiring that the urge to write developed naturally. I started writing short stories and poetry that, however childish they were, provided me with a much-needed creative challenge.Read More →

There is no right way. Everyone is different.

Michael Anderle

I’ve written about comparison and how dangerous comparisonitis can be before. However, I tend to look at comparison from the bottom up, from the perspectives of those who compare themselves to writers who are further ahead in their careers.

Here, I always stress the importance of being realistic, of knowing where you are right now, and how that impacts what you can and cannot do today.

I never really talked about the other side of the coin, about how those we look up to and in whose footsteps we want to follow compare ourselves to us. Do they have a full grasp of where they are right now compared to where they’ve been when telling us how it’s done? Are they aware of the privilege that comes with being further ahead when talking about writing or publishing to a group of people desperate to get to that place too?Read More →
